Carole Weinstein Holocaust Research Library

As a specialized collection, the Virginia Holocaust Museum houses approximately 4,200 books, videos, and periodicals dating from the 1930's to the present.  Like the museum itself, the Library focuses on Holocaust history, education, comparative genocide studies, and the sociology of intolerance.  For further information on using the collection, see Library Policies.

Electronic Resources

Research Oral History Archives

The Library houses the Research Oral History Archives, an extensive collection of interviews with Survivors, Liberators, Partisans, and witnesses of the Holocaust.  You can find a brief sample of one of our testimonies by following the link above.

The Carole Weinstein Holocaust Research Library is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding holidays). We encourage you to make an appointment by contacting Timothy Hensley, 804.257.5400, ext. 230.
