2010- 2011 Programs & Events / schedule

Season

Jay M. Ipson in the VHM’s Memorial Garden, holding a picture of Stanislavas Krivicius, a Righteous Person, who helped save 13 members of the Ipp family.  Mr. Ipson planted a tree in our garden in honor of Mr. Krivicius and his heroism.  (Mr. Ipson is a Holocaust Survivor and co-founder of the Museum).

The Virginia Holocaust Museum’s 2010-2011 season, Righteousness, Righteousness Shalt Thou Pursue, will celebrate the courage of those non-Jewish men and women who saved innocent Jewish lives during the Holocaust. An array of traveling exhibitions, films and internationally renowned speakers will recall the heroic altruism of diplomats, clergy and ordinary citizens during those dark years. Her Excellency Elena Poptodorova, the Bulgarian Ambassador, has noted: “The great and selfless acts of nobility and humanity in the darkest of times in the world’s history must always be recognized and remembered for generations to come.”

The season is sponsored by The Windsor Foundation and Bon Secours Richmond Foundation.
