Art of Margot Blank

The Virginia Holocaust Museum will host a premier exhibition of paintings by the late, local German-American Artist Margot Dreyfuss Blank in the Melvin Weinstein Gallery.  These works chosen for this exhibit feature landscapes, some portraits as well as abstract and mixed media works that are a celebration of light and the color of life as seen through the eyes of a gifted artist. A Holocaust Survivor, Ms. Blank simply desired her legacy to be of an artist that filled the spirit of life and light, not of the darkness and the void so often associated with the Holocaust.

The paintings selected for this exhibition represent a small portion of Margot Blank’s expansive artistic legacy that has been gifted to the Virginia Holocaust Museum by her husband, Professor Allan Blank.
